The Bay Area Street Pantry continues to operate on Tuesdays. We handout food to anyone who needs it. We operate out of the Melrose Branch of the Oakland Public Library system. No ID or credit checks, and no requirements or forms to fill out.

We are in great need of Volunteers!

We need drivers from 9:30am-10am to help pick up food and take it to the Melrose Library. - We also need drivers to coordinate with us 2x's a month for extra food runs.

We need volunteers to show up at the Melrose Library to help setup and pack bags for the hungry from 10am-11:30am.

We also need volunteers to help hand out food from 11:30am-1:00pm (or until we run out of food).

Please contact us if you are able to help!

This past weekend we shared an update with our continued support for  Yle Ase de Yansa of Brazil. We want to help them reach their goal of $37,000 by the end of the year. Over the weekend we had another donation and we thank everyone who has supported! However, we are still not even half way to their goal. If you are able to donate, please do! All donations made through our grant organization, The Conservancy Corp, are tax deductible!

This particular Quilombo has been suffering to provide health care services and education, especially during this pandemic. They also need help to build a new building as the structure has collapsed and the government has been fighting to take their land.

Learn more about the Yle Ase de Yansa and donate if you can!
